Tolle experienced a profound spiritual awakening that gave him a feeling of bliss and peace. Tolle was a depressed man with suicidal tendencies who became spiritually enlightened. This was a profound transformation that took place overnight.
Tolle quit his studies after he experienced a spiritual awakening. Tolle spent his days in a London park called Russel Square in a state known as bliss. As a tribute to Meister Eckhart, he changed his name from “Eckhart” to “Eckhart”. He lived a simple life and stayed in many Buddhist monasteries. Tolle began to work as a spiritual guide and counselor when his friends asked him for help.
Tolle immigrated to Vancouver, Canada in 1995. Tolle began work on his first book. Eckhart Tolle published “The Power of Now” in 1997. It was republished in 1999 on a much larger scale. Tolle and Oprah Winfrey partnered in 2008 to create webinars based on his book, “A New Earth.” Each webinar focused on a particular chapter of the book. These sessions were held weekly and featured Tolle’s conversations with Winfrey, brief meditations, and answers to questions from followers. Tolle founded the company, “Eckhart Teachings”, to market products that were inspired by his teachings.
